One of my favourites too. Although I do like ALL of Costello's work too.

Bacharach also wrote one of the Carpenter's best songs.

Im a massive easy listening fan and this gent wrote some of the finest songs but there was never anything simplistic about his music. Easy and complex simultaneously.

I saw him at a festival about four years ago. He wasnt well but did the whole gig in chilly air. A treasured memory.

Great musician. Latched onto his music as a teen, and occasionslly still listen to it. It's because of him that I got interested in classical music.

Saw him at the Bristol Colston Hall a few years back in 2016.

He would’ve been 86 even then but was still brilliant.

Always loved Arthur’s Theme so was great to see him play it live.
